This is a recent picture of Kaleb, studying Math, Science and English. As he made his promise to finish the subjects he determined to do so. You can tell from that look on his face :)
What I've learned from this is: children can be taught to be responsible as long as you explain and encourage them.
*the picture will follow after this*

Fun Science!
On Wed 17 Nov, 2011, Arrows Home Academy attended an opening ceremony of Science Film Festival (16-30 Nov 2011-- all over Indonesia) held by Goethe Institute at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. The festival was meant to present science in a fun way especially for young viewers, kids at 9-14 y/o.
After being registered and received.the goody bag (SFF shirt, Science Magz, Note, Pen and HiLo Milk inside) the children went into Blitz Cinema and watched one of the films, 'Realms of The Forest part 1'. The film was very attractive, not a trace of 'boredom' found in it. All children (± 300) sat quietly and sometimes showed enthusiasm with 'Oohh' 'Ahh' :)
Faye was interviewed, as she was asked 'What do you think of the movie?' She answered, 'I like it. Now I know about so many things in the forest I didn't know before! For example, I didn't know that Mommy Fox gave birth after 50 days!' While Kaleb asked me during the movie, 'Mom, Fox was born out of an egg or as a baby?' :)
This is a very good programme I must say. Bravo SFF! Keep it coming!

The Fun Never Ends: A Visit To Saparua Island.
The kids visited Fort of Duurstede in Saparua Island, Moluccass. It was Dutch's fort built when Dutch attacked Moluccass for its spices. They had a great time, took some pictures and demanded a quick swim near the fort. The history about the war also being told. The heat was unbelievable, yet the kids were smiling all the time. Fun fun fun!
